Congrats to our client, Giorgio Moroder who received the 2015 GQ Men of The Year “Inspiration” Award, presented to him by the members of Duran Duran.
Giorgio Moroder is considered The Godfather of Disco and Electronic Dance Music. From producing Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and many more of her timeless classics, scoring the music for films including Midnight Express, American Gigolo, Flashdance and Scarface, producing Blondie’s “Call Me”, Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone”, Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” and many more hits, he is also a recording artist who’s sonic groundbreaking albums have brought the sound of the future to the present. One more thing, at the age of 75, Giorgio is also a DJ who tours internationally.
It’s been 30 years since Giorgio Moroder released an album of his own and 2015 brought “Déjà Vu”, distributed by RCA, Sony Music Sweden, with songs featuring vocals by Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Sia, Kelis, Charli XCX, Mikky Ekko, Foxes and Matthew Koma, among others.
Aviad Cohen at AC Media Services was personally entrusted by Giorgio and Francisca Moroder to develop and design Giorgio’s entire website from the ground up. Aviad met with Giorgio and his wife Francisca, where he presented a website concept to them. The Moroder’s provided their feedback and suggestions, then hired Aviad to design the official Giorgio Moroder website. Aviad then worked with Giorgio’s manager Seb Webber and his team at Red Light Management who provided their feedback and suggestions during the production of the website. It was an exciting collaborative effort.
Aviad Cohen sailed on a digital adventure to present a musical & cultural icon and his historic accomplishments. The project entailed extensive research, curating, album, movie poster and vintage photo retouching, video editing, locating and presenting Giorgio’s accurate credits and creating numerous album pages that showcase his work in a unique multimedia presentation. There is a lot more to this project than just web design. In many ways it was like building an online digital historical museum for an artist.

“Dear Aviad, Thank you for doing such a great job on Giorgio’s website. It looks really good and exactly how we envisioned it. Giorgio is also happy and excited it was done in time for the launch of his album and overall ready for 2015! Thank you again from Giorgio, myself and Red Light Management.” -Francisca Moroder
